We had a blast celebrating our 1st year at La Nit Laus this month! There was a whole host of amazing work that people had created over the last year and we were honored to have received two awards for two of our productions 🎉
First up – The production made in collaboration with BOL illustrator Louis Wes and director Device for The Japan Foundation won a bronze award in the category “Animació, motion, VFX | 3D”.
The animation was made to help promote Japanese performing arts online for people throughout the world who are seeking opportunities to enjoy Japanese stage performances amid the pandemic. The objective of the piece was to transmit the diversity of contemporary and traditional arts existing in Japan within a 30-second animation. We had a lot of fun on this project working matching both Louis’s incredible style with studio Device’s knowledge of motion.
The second project that we produced, which won an award was Utah Jazz Player Intros created with BOL director Device, winning a bronze award in the category “Visual Identity”.
This project was one of our favourites from last year, as it was project not only for the iconic Utah Jazz, but also had a lot of room to innovate and play within the design field. The production includes a range of techniques from 3D and 2D illustration to live action customised with effects to create an overall production with a deconstructed, edgy aesthetic.
The awards ceremony took place at the Disseny Hub in Barcelona.
Here are a few shots from the evening!
